The orange is brought out by the lack of other colours, I think this is cool as it makes the audience focus on Robert Downey Jr. This also isn't a generic model, I think I'd rather try and use a proper model for my magazine.
Try and sum up these covers. Seems to me you like strong, bold images with a artistic feel (be that drawing or sculpture).
Try and add more detail to your descriptions of the covers, remember we're doing music mags so think how you could combine your passion for film with music (think back to those BRUCE magazines I tweeted. Could you dress your music artist up as an iconic film star/character?)
