A PopRock band from a small town on the outskirts of
Leicester, their ambition and talent has driven them further than any of them
thought was possible.
Emily, front girl of The Red Wolves smiles brightly and
plops down on the sofa before dragging the boys to sit either side of her. Will
and Jack give slightly sheepish grins as they relax into the sofa.
So this is your first
interview after making it big right?
Emily: Yeah, it’s so exciting and kind of nerve racking.
Will: We don’t want to come across as young or naïve
Jack: (laughing) I don’t
think we can help it sometimes.
Right, it’s a lot of
pressure for a group so young. What were your music influences growing up?
J: I loved Fall Out Boy. I saw them live just before they
went on a break. The news of them coming back is freaking awesome! I can’t wait
to go see them live again, if there was one band I want to be a support act for
it’s definitely them.
E: I used to be into a lot of pop but once I was introduced
to alt-rock and the like I fell in love with its sound. Hayley Williams is
probably one of the only female rock artists around atm.
W: I’m more of a Green Day fan personally, their lives shows
are f*cking amazing!
Most embarrassing
thing to happen no tour?
W: (Laughing) Oh, so many things happen on tour. How do you
pick one?
J: Because we’re living in enclosed spaces for such a long
period of time it’s hard for something embarrassing not to happen.
Like remember the time we had to take a pit stop for Emily?
She doesn’t like going in the RV’s loo so we stopped at this service station.
She was so desperate she didn’t even check the signs when she ran in.
E: SHUT UP (now red with embarrassment as she smacks jack
with a cushion – she’s still smiling though)
W: (Crying with laughter) Oh man, that Asian dude had a
shock when you waltzed back out of the cubicle.
E: it was sooo bad, they should have neon signs or
something. They were disgusting toilets though, it was nasty.
